Poetry

Circles and Cycles

Sometimes, when I return,
I find I've never really left.

What a load of shit!

I want to be me
I told my friend.

She spat on me.

Life is full of contradictions.

The minister masturbates,
The prostitute is kind,
The politician is honest.

See if you can find any meaning in this.

I have thought it all out.

Start from here and wander north
to The Valley of Green Petals,
over snow capped mountains ...
walk in the halls of light,
ascend into heaven.
Achieve perfect illumination!

When all's said and done
there's still the bills to be paid,
the bums to wipe,
the tears to cry.

Sometimes, when I return,
I find I've never really left.

It's lovely here, forever.
