Poetry

ASK ANY STONE

Desire nothing
they say.

But even in the peace of the void
I was hot with want.

They gave me emptiness,
I drew visions.

Listen to the leaves rustle.

Who could want more?

Bikinis and beauty - ha!
Give it all up to the wind.

The sage with the sunglasses
is watching girls on the beach.

He will not go home
until he has seen enough.

Even the moron is more moral
and he just stares, plainly.

Which is better?

Ask any stone.
